The basic needs approach is one of the major approaches to the measurement of absolute poverty in developing countries. It attempts to define the absolute minimum resources necessary for long-term physical well-being, usually in terms of consumption goods. The poverty line is then defined as the amount of income required to satisfy those needs. A traditional list of immediate "basic needs" is food (including water), shelter and clothing.

We gratefully accept donations 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is always helpful to call ahead.

When you donate goods, such as food or clothing to The Ganpati Foundation, you impact the lives of the poor and homeless in India. We announce donors and volunteers to helped Ganpati Foundation to provide good meals, toys, bags of groceries, and articles of clothing to men, women and children in desperate need of help. We rely on donated food and clothing to meet these important needs.
